SACAQM awarded funding from the Horizons Institute for research on air quality and health inequalities

We are excited to announce that SACAQM has been awarded funding for the "Air Quality, Waste Burning, and Health Inequality" project, a cross-regional study of informal settlements and marginalized communities. The funding comes from the prestigious Horizons Institute of the University of Leeds. This study will begin on 5th January 2025 and conclude by 5th January 2026. It will delve into the critical connections between environmental health and social inequality, looking closely at informal settlements and marginalized communities. The award panel praised the project for its interdisciplinary nature and collaborative vision.

We look forward to the journey ahead and thank the Horizons Institute for its support and recognition.
