The sacaqm team, based at CERN, has recently received a shipment of nRF9160 DK single board development kits from our partners Nordic Semiconductor. The arrival of these development kits is the latest step in the development of low-cost power optimized IoT sensor nodes for the AI_r system. The nRF9160 DK is a cellular IoT development kit for LTE-M, NB-IoT, GNSS and Bluetooth LE. The interfacing and power optimization of the first air quality sensor is to be undertaken in the coming weeks.
