SACAQM invited to exhibit and present at the Air Aware: Youth Action Accelerator

SACAQM was invited to exhibit and present at the Air Aware: Youth Action Accelerator (4–6 August 2026) at Wits University, hosted by SAIIA.

The workshop brought together 100 young leaders from Johannesburg's air pollution hotspots to learn about air quality, environmental justice, and community advocacy.

We were honoured that Gauteng MEC for Environment, Hon. Ewan Botha, recognised SACAQM's work in advancing low-cost air quality monitoring and expressed his support for expanding our community sensor network.

Our team showcased our low-cost air quality monitoring technology, while Dr. Edward Nkadimeng demonstrated how citizen science empowers communities to monitor pollution and drive evidence-based action.
